Homemade fruit leather from fresh apples. A healthy alternative to candy!
Ingredients
2 lbs apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
1. Simmer apples over medium heat about 20 minutes until very soft.
2. Place in blender with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Pour onto parchment-lined dehydrator trays or baking sheets.
5. Spread thinly and evenly.
6. Dehydrate at 140°F for 6-8 hours (or lowest oven setting).
7. Leather is done when it feels leathery but pliable.
8. Remove while still warm and roll up.
9. Store in airtight container.
