A sweet and savory casserole with layers of apples and carrots in orange juice. Perfect with baked beans!
Ingredients
6 apples, cored, peeled, and thinly sliced
2 cups cooked carrot slices
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
Salt to taste
3/4 cup orange juice
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Place half the apples in nonstick 2-quart baking dish.
3. Cover with half the carrots.
4. Mix brown sugar, flour, and salt.
5. Sprinkle half the sugar mixture over carrots.
6. Repeat layers.
7. Pour orange juice over top.
8. Bake 45 minutes until tender.
