Filling burgers made with kidney beans and brown rice. Very high in fiber!
Ingredients
1 can kidney beans, drained
2 cups cooked brown rice
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon sage
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup onion, chopped fine
Instructions
1. Combine all ingredients in large bowl.
2. Mash well with potato masher or fork.
3. Form into 6 patties.
4. Cook in nonstick pan until browned on both sides.
5. Serve on buns or as a plated entrée.
