Easy BBQ sandwiches using TVP that taste just like sloppy joes!
Ingredients
1 cup TVP granules
1/2 cup water
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
Liquid for sautéing
Your favorite BBQ sauce
Hamburger buns for serving
Instructions
1. Mix TVP with 1/2 cup water and set aside for 5 minutes to rehydrate.
2. Sauté onion in about 1 tablespoon liquid until almost clear.
3. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
4. Add rehydrated TVP.
5. Stir in enough BBQ sauce for sandwich consistency.
6. Heat thoroughly.
7. Serve on buns.
