2 cans (6 oz each) tomato paste
1 huge onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced or equivalent in powder or pre-minced form

2 cans (28 oz each) tomatoes, whole or crushed with puree
2 cans (6 oz each) tomato paste
1 huge onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced or equivalent in powder or pre-minced form
1/2 cup burgundy wine (or whatever you like)
1 T Italian seasonings
freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp dried pepper flakes
a handful of sun-dried tomatoes (6-8), soaked in hot water and chopped
Instructions
I use a slow cooker (crock pot) to make this sauce so I don't spend a
few hours in the kitchen.
Put the tomatoes and tomato paste in the crockpot, set at low. Saute the
onion and garlic in some water or broth. When onions are translucent, add
to the tomatoes. Then add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Cover, cook
for 8-10 hours.
