Anadama Bread Machine Bread

Classic New England cornmeal and molasses bread adapted for the bread machine. Fat-free version!

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb loaf: 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast 1 2/3 cups bread flour 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour 1/3 cup yellow cornmeal 1/3 cup unsulfured molasses 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual. 2. Process on the basic bread cycle according to manufacturer's directions. 3. Let the loaf cool before slicing. Note: Original recipe called for vegetable oil - omitted for fat-free version. Could substitute Wonderslim or applesauce if needed.
