A tangy, crunchy Indian street food snack. Satisfying and addictively delicious!
Ingredients
1 small onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1 medium tomato, chopped (about 3/4 cup)
1 jalapeño, finely chopped (about 1 tablespoon)
3 tablespoons cilantro chutney
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
2 cups puffed rice
Lemon juice to taste
Salt to taste
Optional additions:
1 cubed baked potato
Crumbled tortilla chips
Chopped cucumber
Instructions
1. Toss all ingredients except puffed rice in a bowl.
2. Add puffed rice and toss to combine.
3. Taste and adjust with more lemon juice, salt, chutney, or ketchup.
4. Serve immediately (puffed rice becomes soggy on standing).
Variations: Add cubed baked potato, crumbled chips, or chopped cucumber for extra texture.
