Quick and easy green beans in black bean sauce. Ready in minutes!
Ingredients
1 lb fresh green beans
2 tablespoons black bean paste
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
1/4 cup cold water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Hot cooked rice for serving
Instructions
1. Wash green beans and trim into bite-sized pieces.
2. Steam or microwave with a little water until just tender-crisp. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
3. Mix black bean paste, soy sauce, water, and cornstarch until very smooth.
4. Heat wok or large pan to medium-high. Add some water and cooked beans.
5. When beans are heated (about 2 minutes), add the sauce.
6. Stir constantly to coat beans (sauce will get very thick).
7. Serve immediately over hot cooked rice.
