Breakfast Quinoa with Apple

Modified McDougall Program breakfast quinoa with fresh apple and cinnamon.

Ingredients

1/3 cup quinoa 2/3 cup water 1/4 cup raisins 1 teaspoon cinnamon or apple pie spice 1 packet sweetener or 2 teaspoons sugar/honey (optional) 1/2 Granny Smith apple, chopped into small pieces

Instructions

1. Rinse quinoa well in cold water. 2. Place in saucepan with water, sweetener (if using), spice, and raisins. 3. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer while preparing the apple. 4. Add chopped apple and continue simmering until all liquid is absorbed. 5. Serve warm.
