Asian-inspired baked tofu with a delicious sesame ginger glaze. Perfect over rice with steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed
3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Press tofu at least 30 minutes. Cut into triangles or cubes.
2. Whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, maple syrup, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
3. Place tofu in shallow dish and pour marinade over. Marinate 30 minutes to 2 hours.
4. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment.
5. Arrange tofu on sheet, reserve marinade.
6. Bake 20 minutes, flip, drizzle with remaining marinade.
7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, bake 10-15 more minutes.
8. Garnish with green onions and serve.
