Restaurant-style green beans with garlic, ginger, and a savory sauce. Quick and delicious!
Ingredients
1.5 lbs green beans
2 tablespoons dry sherry
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 teaspoons ginger, minced
1/2 cup chicken-flavored vegetable stock
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
Few drops sesame oil
1-2 teaspoons cornstarch
4 scallions, sliced
Instructions
1. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain, rinse with cool water, and pat dry.
2. Heat wok over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons sherry, garlic, and ginger. Stir for a few seconds.
3. Add green beans and stir for 1 minute.
4. Add stock, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
5. Combine remaining sherry and cornstarch. Add to wok and stir.
6. Reduce to simmer and cook 3 minutes until sauce thickens.
7. Stir in scallions and serve.
