Kid-friendly tofu nuggets coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and baked until golden. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients
1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed
1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
1. Press tofu for at least 1 hour. Cut into nugget-sized pieces.
2. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment.
3. Mix breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, and all spices in shallow dish.
4. Mix soy sauce and mustard in another shallow dish.
5. Dip each tofu piece in soy mixture, then coat in breadcrumb mixture.
6. Place on baking sheet in single layer.
7. Bake 15 minutes, flip, bake 10-15 more minutes until golden and crispy.
8. Serve with ketchup, BBQ sauce, or honey mustard.
