Get the texture of bagels with low-fat nutritional benefits. Especially good sliced and toasted!
Ingredients
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons vital wheat gluten
3 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons honey
1 cup warm water
Instructions
1. Add ingredients in order suggested by bread machine manual.
2. Process on basic bread cycle.
3. Slice and toast for best results.
Note: For Panasonic/National machines, use 3 teaspoons yeast for 1 1/2 lb loaf. Add a few extra teaspoons water if dough ball isn't forming properly.
